The Perfect End to a Sintra Day Trip: Seafood Rodízio in Cascais
After a full day exploring the palaces, hills, and viewpoints of Sintra, there is one thing we always recommend:
Drive to Cascais and finish the day with seafood overlooking the bay.
Our favourite spot for this is Baía do Peixe, right by the waterfront in Cascais. We have visited many times and somehow always order the same thing — even though every table around us seems to be trying something different that looks incredible.
The shellfish rodízio is the reason we keep coming back.
Expect oysters, clams, shrimp, barnacles, and other seafood brought continuously to your table. Once you finish something, you can simply ask for more. It is essentially unlimited refills until you are completely full.
Our kids absolutely love it too, which says a lot considering seafood restaurants can sometimes be hit or miss for families.
The restaurant asks guests to order responsibly and avoid wasting food, which we completely agree with. Pace yourself — it is surprisingly easy to over-order when everything tastes this good.
What makes the experience even better is the setting. Baía do Peixe overlooks Cascais Bay, and after spending hours walking around Sintra, sitting by the ocean with fresh seafood feels like the perfect reward.

One Important Tip: Parking in Sintra
Parking in Sintra can easily become the most stressful part of the day if you arrive unprepared.
We shared some practical local parking advice in our Lisbon travel tips Facebook group here:

We will also soon add a full Sintra parking guide to the blog to make things easier for future visitors.
